Young Phan's Pocket Ladies Nice - But Full House Takes Pot

A player under-the-gun raised to 800, Young Phan called from early position, the middle position and the big blind also called. The flop came {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. The UTG player bet 1,500, Phan raised 3,000, the middle position player pushed all-in for about 5,000, the big blind and UTG players folded and Phan called. The turn and river came {6-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Phan turned over the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, but his opponent had the {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a full house, and took the pot. After the hand, Phan was down to 15,000 in chips.

Burt Prefers Brick and Mortar; Wolfe Eliminated

Paul Wolfe, decked out in Full Tilt Poker gear, was just moved to a table with Tony Ma and Burt Boutin, and they immediately began discussing the online poker scene.

"Full Tilt is great," said Wolfe, referring to the softness of the player pool. "I suck online. I'm just terrible at it," replied Burt.

A couple of hands later, Wolfe ran into a full house and was eliminated from the tournament. Don't be surprised if you log on to Full Tilt and find him already situated in a few high stakes cash games.

Darrell Dicken Doubles Up Through Jennifer Tilly

After the flop of {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Jennifer Tilly called Darrell "Gigabet" Dicken's 1,700 bet. The {5-Clubs} fell on the turn and when Dicken checked Tilly bet 4,000. Dicken check-raised to 8,000, Jennifer moved all-in and Dicken called. He had the nut flush with {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Tilly had {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for trip fives. She needed the board to pair on the river but didn't get it as the dealer peeled {9-Hearts}. That hand boosted Dicken's stack to 38,000 and cut Tilly's down to 18,750.

Lederer Doubles Twice

Howard Lederer has doubled up twice in the last 10 minutes, and has run his chip stack up to 10,500.

He's just been moved to a table that now houses Tony Ma, Michael Binger and Burt Boutin, which may slow him down a bit.

We'll keep you posted.

Johnny Chan Eliminated

Chan moved all-in from the big blind for 3900 and was called by the small blind.

When they turned their cards over, Chan showed {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, and his opponent had him dominated with the {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

Both players paired their kickers when the flop came {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, but that would be all the help either would get. The turn and river came {J-Clubs}{3-Spades}, and Chan was eliminated from play.
