Those Who Remain

We started with 576 players today and we're now down to 171. The top 54 places pay. So, we've lost about 70 percent of the field so far, and once we lose about 70 percent of the remaining players we'll be in the money.

Vanessa Selbst Chip Leader Again

Vanessa Selbst just took another pot. Selbst checked, a player in middle postion bet 1,800 and Selbst called. The flop was {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{A-Spades}. Selbst checked, her opponent pushed all in, and Selbst called. The turn and river were the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Selbst showed the {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, winning the pot with two pair and eliminating another player. After the hand, Selbst is in the chip lead again with 66,000.

Hoyt Corkins is Eliminated.

In a three-way pot Hoyt Corkins led out after a {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop, and was check-raised all in the by the player in the small blind. Corkins was pot-committed and called with {4-Clubs}{A-Spades}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades}, while his opponent had flopped the flush with {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. And that brought an end to Corkins' day.
