Johnny Chan Hits a Flush to Double Up

Johnny Chan raised from middle position and the big blind called. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn came {3-Diamonds}, the middle position player bet, and Chan called. The river came {2-Diamonds}, the middle position player pushed all-in, and Chan called. Chan showed {Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} for a flush and doubled up to 24,500.

What Alarm?

A warning siren sounded in the Amazon Room and the emergency beacons are flashing, but no one is paying the slightest attention to it. There was a canned announcement that there is some kind of problem, that it's being investigated, and that everyone should remain calm and wait for instructions.

Everyone seems to be following the "remaining calm" part, but if the instructions are anything other than "keep playing poker," I think they'll be ignored.

Josh Arieh Has Been Eliminated

Facing a pot-sized bet after a {Q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Spades} flop, Josh Arieh re-raised all-in for 13,500 total. His opponent called and flipped over {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, while Arieh held the higher flush draw with {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. But the board didn't bring another spade nor any other cards that helped Arieh, and he was eliminated.
