Clarification of a Rule

The tournament staff just made an announcement over the loudspeaker, clarifying a rule that just came up.

Max Pescatori held the high card in a hand of Razz (just before the game switched to Stud), and was forced to bring it in. Six players called behind him, and when the action came back around, Max mucked his cards, assuming that someone had completed the bet.

The question at hand was whether or not Max would receive any additional cards, because his fold out of turn influenced the sequence of cards that would be dealt on 4th street.

The floor ruled that Max's hand was dead and that he would not receive any more cards. In addition, they made clear in their announcement that any player who folds his cards either in turn or out of turn will not receive additional cards.
