Chiu Still Dangerous

David Chiu may be one of the best short-stack players in the world. He's been as low as 400 today and as high as 54,000. He's currently at 50,000 after a double-up. "David has got me so nervous," another player says.

"That's Why He's the Champion of Champions"

"I'm easily the worst player left in the tournament," Greg Pappas says. "But I may be the luckiest."

David Chiu x-x-{10-Diamonds}
Pappas x-x-{2-Spades}

Chiu raises on third and Pappas re-raises to 6,000.

"I'm folding because you've got two queens," Chiu says. Sure enough, Pappas rolls over Q-Q.

"That's why he's the champion of champions," Pappas says, referring to Chiu's win at the inaugural Tournament of Champions in 1999.
