With the board reading , Eli Elezra bet 10,000 on the turn and Mike Matusow called. The river was the . Elezra bet 15,000 and Matusow called all in. Elezra showed K-K-7-8 for the flopped boat and Matusow mucked as he headed to the rail.
The pot had already swelled to 17,000 on the turn with the board showing . The river was the and Andy Bloch check-called a 5,000 bet from Sonny Nijran. Nijran showed for the nut straight and Bloch mucked.
Nijran was up to 52,500 after the hand while Bloch was down to 10,600.
Earlier in the Series, we reported that Mike Matusow had made a $100,000 weight-loss bet with Ted Forrest. Matusow has one year to get down to 180 pounds to collect on the wager.
Matusow was eager to get Tony G in on the wager as well. 180 seemed too daunting a number to Tony and he invited Matusow to arm-wrestle him at an adjacent table for $100K instead.
"Only if you give me 5-1" was Matusow's condition. Needless to say, the match never went off.
