This wasn't the hand that actually ended Jennifer's day, but she ran Kings into Aces and that left her with just 350 chips. She was eliminated just a few hands later.
T.J. Cloutier got all his money in with pocket Queens against A-K. Unfortunately for T.J. his opponent's Big Slick was suited in clubs and after flopping a flush draw his foe found the on the river. Cloutier is down to just 200 chips.
On the next hand, T.J. Cloutier pushed all-in with K-J and the player in Seat 1 called with A-Q. An ace came on the flop, the turn and river were no help, and Cloutier was eliminated.
J.J. Liu was all-in with A-9 against an opponent with A-A. Liu hit a nine on the flop for a set. The turn and river were no help, and aces were cracked again. Pocket aces always look good, but you never know till the river comes who will be heading for the door.
Gavin Smith, John Gale, Justin Bonomo, Carl Olson, Eric Hershler, and Men Nguyen have all been sighted. And Gary Gibbs in the house for the first time this year; getting in just last night. My guess is that he'll be making a run at the Senior's event on Monday - the event that he won in 2004. Gibbs got into poker late in life, but has final tabled in 6 out of the 8 events he's cashed in.
That guy in the picture at right is usually on the other side of the camera. This is Filipe Pacheco, who lives in Lisbon, Portugal, and runs the Portugese language version of PokerNews.com. Filipe is responsible for many of the photos you have seen on PokerNews.com during this World Series. Filipe is taking his turn at the tables, and we figured we would show him what its like to have your picture taken while you are playing poker. As they say in Portugal - Boa Sorte, Filipe!
Steve Paul-Ambrose pushed all-in from the button and the small blind called. The board came . The small blind showed A-K, and took the pot. Paul-Ambrose mucked his cards before he headed for the door.
