The Doctor Is In

After raising preflop with pocket queens, "Dr. Pauly" McGuire was facing an all-in from a single opponent. Pauly made the call and his opponent showed A-K.

Flop: {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The flop left his opponent drawing to running aces or kings, which didn't happen. Another elimination under Pauly's belt and he's now up to 34,000 in chips.

Raising from the cut-off, Paul "Dr. Pauly" McGuire made it 2,100 to go. C.K. Hua, sitting with the big stack at Pauly's table, pushed another 7,100, putting Pauly all-in if he called. Pauly made the call and showed pocket sevens while Hua turned over A-J.

Hua missed the board and Pauly's sevens held up. After the hand, Pauly is up to 23,000.

"Alaska Reinforcements" Down to Two

Just before the dinner break, Mike Forman was short-stacked and made a move. Forman had pocket queens and his opponent had A-J. An ace came on the board and Forman was down and out.

"Oh well, I think I did pretty good," said Forman. "I've only been playing for a year. I'll do better next year." Not bad at all. See you next year.
