Tom McEvoy Triples Up

Tom McEvoy ended up all in against two other players. He held pocket tens, the other two held {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The flop of {2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{K-Spades} gave McEvoy a set and the {10-Clubs} on the river gave him quads. That pushed McEvoy's stack up to 10,500.

Joy Winter Doubles and Doubles

Joy Winter (mom to PokerNews' own Jennifer Winter) raised to 1,000 and had the big blind reraise all in for 7,500. Joy called and showed down {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}, DOMINATING her opponent's {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}. The board didn't help either player and that built Joy's stack up to 6,500.

Which she nearly doubled again a few hands later when, holding K-Q, she made two pair on the flop and came moved all in against an opponent who took a stab at the pot. That win helped boost Joy's stack up to 11,000.

R.C. Sadler Hits Jackpot with Set of Aces

A player pushed all-in from under-the-gun, R.C. Sadler called from middle postion, along with a late position player and the small blind. The small blind had A-K, UTG had J-J, Sadler had A-A and the late position player had Q-Q. All was quiet as the board came 5-4-9-A-7. Now that was a hand to watch unfold. Stiff competion, but the aces not only held up, but "turned" into a set. What more could you ask for? After the hand, Sadler was up to 22,000.

Aces, Always Aces

Men "The Master" Nguyen has just been eliminated, and guess what? He ran into Aces again! After Nguyen raised to 800 with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} the player in the small blind re-raised to 1750. and Nguyen called. The flop came {K-Spades}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and when the small blind moved in Men called with his open-ended straight draw.

And found that, once again, he was up against Aces. And, again, he wasn't able to crack those Aces the way his own pair of bullets were cracked early on. And that ended Men "The Master's" eventful afternoon.

The Roller Coaster Continues

Down to just 500 in chips a few hands ago, Men "The Master" Nguyen is now up to over 4,000, thanks to a couple of big hands. After chipping up a bit he open-pushed under the gun with {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and was called by a player with {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Nguyen spiked a 5 on the flop and his pair held up to boost his stack to 2,000.

A few hands later "The Master" called a 500 raise along with two other players and, when the flop came {9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, moved all-in. The other players folded and Nyguen now sits with 4,000.
