Matusow has {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs} to his opponent's {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}-x. Matusow is up to 62,300.

Duke's Maneuver

Annie Duke goes from 15,000 to 20,000 with aces in Omaha - she made a flush. She shows the two aces to her opponent, but not the other two. The misinformed dealer lets this stand and mucks the hand. The other player calls the floor over under Duke's protest, who corrects the dealer - the opponent had the right to see the other two cards upon request.

Duke: "OK, I won't give you any more information ever again." She laughs.

A History of Violette

Cyndy Violette raises in the cutoff and the big blind calls. The flop is {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} and the big blind checks. Violette bets and the opponent calls. The turn is {6-Clubs}. The opponent checks and Violette bets. The BB check-raises. Violette calls. The river is {A-Hearts} and both check. The opponent has 3-5-x-x for the low and she has 3-5-9-x for the high and the split low.

Then, on the next hand, her Q-10-x-x fails to hold up against A-A-2-x on a board of {2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and her opponent scoops.

Which Three of Diamonds Brings In?

A player at Greg Raymer's table related an incident during Day 1 of this event, where at that player's table, they played for hours, not noticing that there were two {3-Diamonds} in the deck. On third street in one hand, both {3-Diamonds} came out as upcards and a floorman was called over.

"Which {3-Diamonds} brings it in?" he asked.

Duke Has 4x More

Annie Duke started the hand with only 3800 and is all in on fifth street in a three-way hand. Duke has {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} showing. Opponent 1 has {5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{J-Spades} showing. Opponent 2 has {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{K-Spades} showing. Duke has 2-3 in the hole and lights up - expecting only the low and scooping. "Twos and threes can be a big hand sometimes," she says. She's back up to 15,000, nearly quadrupling on that hand.
