Chris Ferguson Has Been Eliminated

Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson
After William Childs raised to 7,200, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson moved all-in for his last 60K. Childs actually took some time thinking it over before calling with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, and saw that he had the lead against Ferguson's {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The board came {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and the 2000 World Champion was eliminated.

Chad Brown Busts a Player; Now Up to 500,000

Chad Brown
Chad Brown
With the final board showing {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} on the river, Chad Brown bets 100,000 into a 100,000 pot, which is enough to put his opponent all in. His opponent calls with {A-Spades}{8-Spades} for two pair, aces and fours. But Brown shows {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a higher two pair, aces and fives, to win the pot.

Brown busts his opponent and increases his chip count to about 500,000, putting him up near the top 10.

John Spadavecchia Doubles Through Sara Stohler

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}, Sara Stohler bet 20K and John Spadavecchia called. The turn was the {3-Hearts}. Stohler bet 30K and Spadavecchia moved all in for 113K. Stohler went into the tank. She stared at the flop. She looked at John Spadavecchia. She eyed her chip stack. And repeated the process over and over for five minutes. She eventually called.

Spadavecchia: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Stohler: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

Stohler's Aces were still in the lead and Spadavecchia was on a flush draw. The {8-Hearts} spiked on the river. Spadavecchia made his draw and crippled Stohler in the process. She slipped to 25,000, while John Spadavecchia increased his stack to 265,000.

Stohler was rattled by the hand. She stood up and walked around the Amazon Ballroom while she sat out for a few hands.

Throttle Wide Open

Dario Minieri
Dario Minieri
As he's wont to do, Dario Minieri has raised just about every hand since play began today. After Jesse Chinni raised to 6,800 from early position Minieri--surprise!--raised to 34K. Chinni called and they saw a {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. Chinni checked, Minieri bet 40K, Chinni then check-raised to 90,000...and Minieri moved all-in.

Chinni folded his hand, leaving him with 190,000. And Dario is now up to 510K.
