The "Dark Checker" Should Be Renamed "Weak Kicker"

Two players limp from middle position, Lee Watkinson raises from the cutoff to 3,600, one player folds, and the other calls. Watkinson's opponent checks in the dark before the flop brings {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Watkinson bets 5,000, and his opponent calls, and then checks in the dark again.

The turn card pairs the board with the {10-Hearts}, and Watkinson checks behind the dark check.

The river card is the {9-Clubs}, and the player known as the Dark Checker bets out for 4,000. Watkinson calls, showing {A-Spades}{K-Spades} for top pair, top kicker, and his opponent mucks, saying he also had an ace.

Watkinson won the pot, increasing his stack to 110,000.
