The action was folded to Chip Reese on the button who raised to 2,000. Young Australian Julian Powell made the call from the small blind and the big blind folded.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} and Powell checked. Reese made a bet of 4,000, and Powell raised to 17,000. Reese went into the tank for a long time, eventually moving in for just over 30,000. Powell made the call. Reese turned over {Q-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush draw, while Powell had top pair with {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

Unfortunately for Reese, no spades emerged to help him dig his way out, and he will not see Day Two of this year's main event.
