Paul Spitzberg Eliminated by Hyon Kim

Paul Spitzberg limped in from late position, Paulo Louriero raised to 80,000, Philip Hilm called, and Spitzberg called. The flop was {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Spitzberg checked, Louriero bet 200,000, and Hilm moved all in for 1.25 million.

"All in and a call on 3!" bellowed Spitzberg as he shoved his stack in the middle, making the call. He was about to table his hand before he realized that Louriero still had to act. After a few minutes in the tank, Louriero folded, claiming he mucked A-A.

Hilm turned over {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a flush draw while Spitzberg showed {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a middle set. The turn, though, was the {5-Hearts}, making Hilm's flush. Spitzberg would need to pair the board to win the pot. It wasn't to be, though, when the {J-Spades} fell on the river. Hilm took down the pot and upped his stack to 3.2 million, while Spitzberg was crippled down to only 120,000.

On the next hand, Spitzberg moved all in pre-flop from middle position, Hilm called, Hyon Kim moved all in over the top for 720,000 and Hilm folded. Spitzberg turned up {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} but had run into Kim's {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}. The flop was {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} making a set of kings for Kim, and leaving Spitzberg drawing to running cards. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, the river was the {J-Spades}, and Spitzberg's Main Event run came to a close.

After that hand, Kim was up to 1,100,000.
