Ayaz Mahmood Doubles Up

A crowd gathers as Mahmood burns time
A crowd gathers as Mahmood burns time
With 46 players remaining, one more bust-out means that the players all get closer to a $50,000 jump in their payouts. With this in mind, we bring you the next hand...

Ray Henson makes it 130,000 under the gun and Scott Freeman reraises to 400,000. Ayaz Mahmood is next to act and goes deep into the tank. He looks around, and asks for time. The players oblige and let him contemplate his decision. He leans back, sips on his Red Bull, and remains in the tank. Finally, the clock is called and with one second remaining Mahmood announces, "Call," leaving himself just 95,000 in chips. It is folded around to Henson, who tanks for a while, eyeing Freeman's chips (the only one at the table who can dent his huge stack). He eventually gets out of the way and we see the flop:

{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Freeman checks and Mahmood dives back into the tank. Freeman immediately calls time and the countdown begins. Mahmood looks pained and eventually puts his last 95,000 in the pot. Freeman calls and tables {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

Mahmood has {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

The turn is the {10-Clubs} and Mahmood does not want to see an ace or king. The river is the {J-Spades} and Mahmood doubles up to just over a million in chips.
