Chris Bell Eliminated in Sixth Place ($157,168)

Chris Bell- 6th Place
Chris Bell- 6th Place
Hand #28 -

Mike Sexton has the button in Seat 6. Chris Bell opens for 140,000, Nenad Medic re-pots, enough to put Bell all in, and he calls.

Bell {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Medic {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The flop is {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and Medic's jacks are still ahead, but the {A-Spades} spikes on the turn, giving the lead to Bell. In the ultimate suck-re-suck, the {J-Spades} falls on the river, making Medic's set and eliminating Bell in sixth place. He'll take home $157,168 for his efforts.

Hand #25 - Nenad Medic

Chris Bell has the button in Seat 2. Nenad Medic raises to 110,000 and Andy Bloch calls from the big blind. The flop is {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and both players check. The turn is the {6-Clubs}. Check-check again. The river is the {8-Diamonds}. Bloch checks, Medic bets 175,000 and Bloch calls. Medic shows {K-Spades}{9-Spades} for a ten-high straight and wins the pot.

Like I said, you get busted from a WSOP final table, you don't much feel like talking. But Mike Sowers has returned after a brief absence to conduct his interview with ESPN. When you think about the histrionics some players display after they get busted, it's heartening to see a 21-year-old like Sowers handle himself like a pro, prudently take some time to cool off, and return for his interview.
