Elsewhere In The Field

Visit table #1 and you'll find Erik Seidel looking thoughful and wearing noise-canceling headphones, perhaps because sitting across the way is Hevad "Rain" Khan.

Chau Giang is also at table #1, while table #4 is host to Jeffery Lisandro and Vanessa Rousso. Jennifer Harman, Shannon Shorr and Tom McEvoy are playing at table #18, and Minh Ly, Isaac Haxton and Dan Shak are playing at table #13.

The Ladies Get Into It

Shannon Elizabeth and Beth Shak went to the turn on a board of {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Spades}. The turn brought the {Q-Clubs} and Elizabeth checked to Shak. Shak bet 10,000 and Elizabeth called.

The river was the {10-Clubs} and both players checked.

Elizabeth showed A-A and Shak showed 6-6 for a set of sixes and the winning hand.

Shak commented, "I thought you had aces" as she stacked her chips up.

Elizabeth Eliminated

It just wasn't Shannon Elizabeth's day. After losing with A-A to Beth Shak's pocket sixes earlier in the tournament, Elizabeth went down with A-A once again. This time it would be for all her chips.

The board was ten-high, 4-5-T-7, when all the money went into the middle. Elizabeth showed A-A and her opponent showed T-T for top set.

The river brought another ten to add insult to injury and bounce Elizabeth from the tournament.

Late Arrivals

You always find players showing up late to a poker tournament and today three of them just made fashionable appearances at the newly-formed table #39. Tuan Le, Doug Lee and Jean-Robert Bellande have all sat down to play. When Tuan Le took his seat a player at the table said, "That's my fish!", which set them both to laughing.

Bloch Takes a Bite Out of Singer

Andy Bloch
Andy Bloch
Andy Bloch raised to 600 from middle position and David Singer called from the small blind. The flop was {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Singer checked, Bloch bet 700 and Singer called. The turn was the {J-Spades}. Singer checked, Bloch bet 1,100 and Singer called again. The river was the {7-Clubs}. Singer checked a third time, Bloch fired out 3,000 and Singer made the call.

Bloch turned up {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a full house, Singer mucked, and Bloch dragged the sizeable pot. After the hand, Bloch was up to 26,500 while Singer fell to 14,500.
