Benyamine Doubles, Only to Bust

Benyamine=Busto
Benyamine=Busto
A middle-position player opened for 8,000, Joe Patrick reraised to 28,000 from the button, David Benyamine flat-called from the small blind and the MP player folded. The flop was {K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Benyamine moved all in and Patrick made the call.

Benyamine {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

Patick {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The turn was the {K-Diamonds}, the river was the {7-Spades}, and Benyamine doubled up to 98,000.

Only a few hands later, Benyamine and Patrick tangled again, in a three-way preflop all-in with David Benefield, who had both of them covered.

Benyamine {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

Patrick {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Benefield {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The flop was {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, but Benefield picked up a flush draw when the {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn.

"Don't do it!" implored Benyamine as the dealer burned and turned the river card... the {A-Diamonds}, which made Benefield's flush and eliminated Benyamine, as well as Patrick.

After the hand, Benefield was up to 260,000.
