Patrik Antonius Rides the Rollercoaster

Patrik Antonius doubles through Nikolay Evdakov
Patrik Antonius doubles through Nikolay Evdakov
After a flop of {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} and with 50,000 in the pot, Andreas Krause moved in for his last 37,000. Patrik Antonius considered the situation and Krause said, "You're the better player, fold and I'll show."

Antonius decided to make Krause show his cards by calling the bet, and when the cards were revealed his {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} trailed Krause's {K-Spades}{J-Spades}. The {9-Diamonds} came on the turn and the {A-Hearts} on the river, and Krause doubled up to 110,000.

That left Antonius with 135,000, and on the very next hand he mixed it up with Nikolay Evdakov. Antonius raised before the flop and Evdakov called in the big blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} and both players checked. When the {4-Clubs} turned Evdakov bet 35,000 and Antonius called. The {A-Hearts} fell on the river and when Evdakov checked Antonius bet 80,000. Evdakov made the call and Antonius turned over {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the wheel and Evdakov mucked his hand. That pushed Antonius back up to 270,000.
