Sebok Dispatches Kravchenko

Joe Sebok
Joe Sebok
We picked up the action on the flop.

With a board of {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Alex Kravchenko bet 7,000, and Sebok responded by reraising all in. Kravchenko called with his remaining chips.

Kravchenko showed {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} for top pair, top kicker. Sebok showed {A-Clubs}{9-Spades} for the nut flush draw. The turn was the {4-Spades}, but the {9-Clubs} sealed Kravchenko's fate.

Sebok is now heads up versus Quinn Do. Sebok has about 68,000, and Do about 32,000.

Gabe Costner Moves On

Gabe Costner busts Chad Brown and moves on to tomorrow's Round 2. He'll still have a lot of work to do if he wants to live down Waterworld and The Postman, though.

On second thought, this might be a different Costner.

Marco Traniello Busted

John McKinney raised to 3,000 on the button and Marco Traniello was all in for 14,175 from the small blind. McKinney called with {K-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Traniello had {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. The board was a heartbreaker: {J-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and Traniello was down to 3,900 to 29,000 for McKinney.

On the very next hand, Traniello shoved on the button with {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and was called by Richard Kirsch with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}. The board rang out {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and Traniello busted. Kirsch has 71,000 after this hand.

Time for Traniello to make another fateful phone call to his wife, Jennifer Harman.

Table #30 Update

Phil Galfond just busted, so we're down to heads up between Held Kolastikov and Erik Seidel. Kolastikov has a healthy chip advantage over Seidel, about 82,000 to 18,000.

Table 28 Volatility

Eugene Todd just busted from table 28, and five minutes later, Chad Brown and Gabe Costner got it all in preflop. Brown had {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Costner had {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. The board came {Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{K-Hearts}. Brown doubled through, but Costner still leads, 72,000 to 28,000.
