Mika Hilaire raised to 300 from late position, Sabyl Landrum (formerly Cohen) moved all in for 1,500 from the big blind and Hilaire insta-called, showing {A-?} {A-?} to Landrum's {A-?} {9-?}. The aces held and Landrum was eliminated.

Before she left the tournament area, Landrum stopped one of our field reporters to compliment Hilaire on her play today.

"She's easily the best player at that table. She's extremely talented and has a good shot at winning this tournament," Landrum remarked as she hit the rail.

Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert just told us that she typically prefers to play poker with the guys, adding that her table today is the toughest she's been at all series. That's a pretty strong statement, given that she made the final table of Event #1 ($10,000 World Championship pot-limit hold'em) amdist a lineup that included Mike Sexton, Andy Bloch, Patrik Antonius, Chris Bell, Phil Laak and eventual winner Nenad Medic.
