Quads Should Do It

A big pot just took place between Calen McNeil and Thom Schultz. The flop read {3-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {4-Spades} when McNeil bet 15,000 before Schultz raised the pot. McNeil called before the turn came {4-Clubs}.

But before the turn had come McNeil had already moved the rest of his chips in the middle and Schultz had followed him. McNeil tabled {K-Spades} {J-Spades} {3-Spades} {J-Clubs} but was drawing dead to Schultz's {4-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {7-Clubs} for quads.

The meaningless river came {K-Diamonds}.

Schultz is up to 124,000 now.

McNeil managed to win a pot soon after and sits at 75,000.

Pickering On Gill

A late-position player limped, James Pickering raised to 12,000 from the small blind. Carter Gill called from the big blind, as did the late-position player.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Pickering pushed his remaining chips all in, Gill called, and the LP player folded. Pickering showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for the nut straight, plus redraws to a better straight. Gill showed {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {J-Spades} and the river the {6-Clubs}, and Pickering is now up around 100,000. Gill, meanwhile, has fallen back down to 35,000.

Fly Robbins Fly

In a big hand just before the break, Chau Giang bet enough on a flop of {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} to put Jamie Robbins all in, and Robbins made the call.

Robbins showed {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for trip eights, and Giang showed {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a pair of kings and no real draws. The board did not alter the circumstances, and Robbins doubled up to 88,000.
