All Hail, Cesar!!

Cesar Flores just took down a monster three-way pot. Preflop, Flores called two all-in bets with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. He faced two opponents holding {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} and {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. An ace hit the board, Flores won the hand, and is now around 41,000 in chips.

"Maridu" Cracks Rockets

Maridu
Maridu
Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck has had a rocky day. After being down to 900 at one point, she is now progressing nicely. She recently flopped a nut flush draw with her {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, to then crack her opponent's pocket aces when she made her flush on the turn.

"Maridu" is now back up to 12,000 in chips.

Levi Takes a Nice Pot

Nicolas Levi raised to 750 in late position preflop and was called by the cutoff. On a flop of {5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Levi made a bet of 925 and the cutoff raised to 3,500. Levi called. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Levi checked. The cutoff bet 6,000 and Levi check-raised all in for 11,000 more. The cutoff folded.

After the hand Levi is up to 28,000 in chips.

Jeffrey Lisandro Eliminated

Action folded around to the player in the cutoff, who raised to 1,300. Jeffrey Lisandro made it 4,000 to play from the button. The blinds passed and the cutoff made the call. The flop came down {Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. The cutoff led out for 6,000 and Lisandro called his remaining chips. The players showed:

Lisandro: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

Lisandro's pair trailed the top pair top kicker of his opponent and the turn and river missed him completely. The disappointed Aussie stood up and headed for the rail some 45 minutes before the scheduled dinner break.

Greg Raymer Eliminated

Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer
Corey Munoz opened with a preflop raise to 1,500 before Greg Raymer came over the top for all of his 4,000 chips. Munoz made the call and the cards were tabled:

Munoz: Q-Q
Raymer: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The flop of {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades} gave Raymer the pair that he needed but the third queen gave Munoz a set and left Raymer drawing thin. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and river {5-Spades} to eliminate the 2004 World Champion from today's field.

Vaughn's Small Pair Takes Down a Big Pot

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} Chris Vaughn checked to his opponent, who bet 1,700. Vaughn raised to 4,500 and his opponent quickly reraised for all of his chips, about 15,000. Vaughn took off his headphones and studied the board. "You don't have a set, do you?" he asked. "Jacks?" His opponent did not respond.

After a few more minutes of thought, Vaughn made the call and tabled {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. His opponent showed {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a two-overcard flush draw. He did not improve and Vaughn scooped the pot.

Several hands later, Vaughn knocked a different player out when his aces held against that player's kings. He currently has approximately 40,000 chips.
