"Eskimo" Clark Picks his Spot

Paul "Eskimo" Clark just took down a nice pot when his pocket tens held up against the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} of his opponent. The money went in preflop, and when the board ran out 7-6-4-7-6, Clark's tens were best. He stacked up to approximately 5,000 and sent another player home in the process.

Andy Black: Alternative for Massage Therapy

A floor person just approached Andy Black and said, "They've asked in the back of the room if the Irish guy on 22 would keep it down." He winked at Black.

"Go away, asshole," Black responded. "I mean, thank you, sir."

The floor person grinned. "I'm just pointing out the excessive celebration rule."

"I understand. I'm just making up for the rest," Black countered. He raised his voice and shouted, "They're all dead! What, are we going to sit here and stare at each other for 10 hours? It's poker!"

Licastro Knocked Back

Anthony Licastro has been steadily growing his stack throughout the first two levels of play.

With about 9,000 in front of him, Licastro raised from late position, making it 400 to go. The player behind him reraised to 1425, and Licastro shoved over the top. The other player made the call with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, and Licastro tabled two black cowboys, {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

He fell behind quickly, though, when the flop came out {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, and he needed to hit his flush or the case king to win the pot, or two runners to chop with a straight. The board ran out {5-Diamonds}, {6-Hearts}, however, and Licastro lost more than half of his stack, down now to 3,500.

Scotty Chatting it up with the Dealer

The following was overheard at Scotty Nguyen's table. He was talking with the dealer between hands.

Nguyen: "Your name is June? Like the month?"

Dealer nods.

Nguyen: "This month your name is June. Next month it's something else, right, baby?"

Dealer nods.

Scotty is nursing a short stack right now. He is down to 425.

"Good Call"

Kenny Tran led out preflop to 300 from under the gun and was called by the small blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Tran fired 500 into the pot after the small blind checked. Tran's opponent raised to 1,500 and Tran called. The turn brought the {9-Clubs}, and after his opponent checked, Tran shoved all in. His opponent called and showed pocket tens against Tran's pocket sixes.

"Good call, good call," Tran acknowledged, as his opponent scooped up the pot. Tran is down to just 300 after the hand.

Black Makes Boat

Andy Black just let out a cry of delight at spiking a repeat on the river on a board of 7-K-9-10-9. Black held pocket tens, which filled up to overtake the Q-J straight of his opponent.

Black moves to 6,000 in chips.

Scotty is Crippled

We missed the preflop action, but on a board of {J-Spades}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, Scotty Nguyen pushed all in holding pocket queens. His opponent called for less and tabled king-jack. The turn and the river were no help for Nguyen and he dropped to only 575 chips.

After the hand, Nguyen told his opponent, "Nice hand, baby."
