The Bubble Has Burst

After several minutes of hand-for-hand action, we have finally reached the money.

Aaron Coulthard made it 8,000 to go preflop and Humberto Kim moved all in. Coulthard made the call and showed {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}, while Kim showed {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}. Kim appeared to be in great shape, especially after flopping a king. But when the board ran runner-runner 10-J, it gave Coulthard a straight to eliminate Kim on the bubble.

Eric Baldwin Wins a Big Pot from Steve Brecher

This hand happened just before the bubble. Under the gun Eric Baldwin raised to 7,500 and Steve Brecher called in the big blind. The flop came {8-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {10-Clubs} and Brecher check-called Baldwin's 5,200 bet. The {8-Clubs} fell on the turn, Brecher again checked, and when Baldwin bet 13,500 Brecher check-raised to 40,000. Baldwin called, and when the {4-Clubs} hit on the river Baldwin moved all in. Brecher thought a good while before releasing his hand, and losing that pot left him with 48,000. Baldwin is now up to 148,000.

Rockets for Rayan

Rayan Nathan raised preflop to 8,000 and Sam El Sayed moved all in. El Sayed had Nathan covered, but Nathan called and showed pocket aces to El Sayed's A-J. The board ran bricks for El Sayed and Nathan is up to 70,000 after the hand.

David L McCollum Doubles Up

David L McCollum moved all in preflop and Steve Gross moved all in as well for his remaining 70,000. Action folded around, which pitted Gross versus McCollum for McCollum's tournament life. McCollum held pocket kings while Gross held A-Q. The board was no help for Gross, and after the hand McCollum is up to 65,000.

Jared Okun Eliminates Robert Zoellner

Jared Okun raised to 7,000 and Robert Zoellner moved all in for his last 26,000 from the small blind. Okun made the call with {A-Spades} {6-Spades} to Zoellner's {2-Spades} {2-Hearts}. It looked like Zoellner would get the double-up when the flop came K-Q-5 and the turn brought a seven, but Okun spiked an ace on the river to take the pot away and eliminate Zoellner.
