Another Early Elimination

As always seems to be the case in these opening day two rounds, it's do or die for many of the short stacks, but few seem to be surviving these early encounters.

The latest shortie to be shown the door is Simon Lindqvist. With Dominik Kulicki raising it up from under the gun, Lindqvist pushed all in from the small blind for circa 10,000, only for Dave Barnes to call in the big.

After Kullicki stepped aside, we had a showdown, Lindqvist chagrined to see his {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} dominated by Barnes' {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. A {9-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Spades} provided Lindqvist with a lifeline, but although the turn blanked with a {4-Clubs}, the {6-Spades} river handed Barnes the flush, and Lindqvist the door.
