Fabrice Soulier Stays Active

Action folded around to the small blind who moved all in for approximately 7,000. Fabrice Soulier called from the big blind. The players showed:

Soulier: {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

Soulier was dominated in the hand, but by the river that wouldn't be the case. The board ran out {Q-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {10-Spades} and Soulier's nut straight was best. He is now hovering around the 22,000 chip mark.

No Bad Beat Here

Adam Geyer raised to 1,700 from middle position and Neil "Bad Beat" Channing called from the hijack. The flop was {10-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {4-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {8-Spades}. Geyer bet 2,200 and Channing called. The river was the {7-Clubs} and they checked it down.

'King high," announced Geyer. Channing showed {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} and took it down with ace high, increasing his stack to 21,000.

Kenna James Eliminated

Kenna James completed the small blind, the big blind raised to 1,650, James reraised to 6,450, and the big blind moved all in for 14,150. James called and turned up {2-Hearts} {2-Clubs} and found himself in bad shape against the big blind's {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}. The board ran out {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {6-Spades}. James was left with only 350 in chips and busted out on the next hand.

Ray Henson Pads His Stack

Action folded around to Ray Henson in late position and he raised to 1,500. The button moved all in for 3,425 and action folded back around to Henson and he made the call. The players showed:

Henson: {A-Hearts} {4-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs} {8-Spades}

Henson was behind, but quickly caught up when the board ran out {Q-Spades} {6-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}. Henson sent yet another player home early, and now sits on a stack of roughly 25,000 chips.

Speaking of Roland de Wolfe...

Roland de Wolfe just lost most of his stack in a three-way all in holding {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} against {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} and {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}. The board ran out {Q-Spades} {8-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and de Wolfe was left with only 3,200.

He pushed his short stack in just a short while later with {A-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} and once again, couldn't improve against his opponent's {8-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}. Guess the massage is over...

Jim Pechac Eliminated

Jim Pechac will get an extended dinner break. He just got the last of his roughly 2,500 chips in the center holding {A-Clubs} {6-Hearts} against the {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} of his opponent. Things went from bad to worse for Pechac when the flop came {K-Spades} high. He was drawing dead by the turn and headed for the rail.

"God, I Almost Folded!"

On a board reading {8-Hearts} {4-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {2-Hearts} , the small blind led out for 1,300, Phil Hellmuth raised to 5,700 from the big blind and the small blind moved all in. Hellmuth tanked, going into his usual antics and speeches, even pulling one of our field reporters aside to whisper, "I'm out with a full house here!"

Hellmuth did eventually make the call, turning over {2-Clubs} {8-Clubs} for deuces full of eights. The small blind mucked, saying he had an overpair.

"Where's Roland de Wolfe?" cried Hellmuth, rising out of his seat and scanning the room for his friend.

"God, I almost folded there!" he said to de Wolfe, who was enjoying a massage at an adjacent table.

After the hand, Hellmuth was up to about 25,000.

Ace-King Times Three

The poker gods must have sprinkled some pixie dust on the deck at Table 12 over the dinner break. On the first hand back there was a massive three-way all in. The players' hands? {A-Spades} {K-Spades}, {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}, and {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}. The flop, naturally came all diamonds and everyone got their money back.
