Jose Luis Velador Wins Huge Pot, Takes Chip Lead

Jose Luis Velador
Jose Luis Velador
We caught up to this hand on the river. With the board reading {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {9-Spades} {5-Spades} {4-Diamonds} and a good sized pot in the center, Jose Luis Velador bet 85,000 over to his lone opponent Richard Toth. Toth contemplated for upwards of four minutes before finally making the call. Velador showed {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} for top two pair. Toth flashed the {K-Diamonds} as he mucked.

After the hand, Velador's chip stack is just shy of 500,000 while Toth is down to approximately 55,000.
