Bill Chen Eliminated

After four limpers came into the pot, a short-stacked Bill Chen shoved for his last 2,200 from late position. He got a single caller and the players showed:

Chen: {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-?} {10-?} {8-?} {J-?} {3-?} and Chen's ace high was second best.

Curtis Early Lives Up to His Name

On a flop of {Q-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {3-Clubs}, there was a three-way all-in. The big blind held {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} for bottom set, the UTG player held {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} for top pair, and Curtis Early had {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts} on the button for the nut flush draw. He hit the flush on the turn when the {K-Clubs} fell, and the {8-Hearts} on the river didn't change anything.

Curtis is now our early chip leader with 25,800 in his stack.

Bill Chen Takes a Hit

We caught up to this hand on the turn. Bill Chen moved all in on a board of {10-Hearts} {2-Spades} {3-Hearts} {A-Spades} and got a single caller. Chen showed {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} for a flush draw with an inside straight draw. Chen's opponent tabled {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}. The river fell the {Q-Spades} missing Chen and giving his opponent top two pair. Bill slipped to 2,800 chips after the hand.

Kenna James Likes Pocket Aces

A middle-position player opened for 900, Kenna James reraised to 2,100 from the cutoff, the small blind moved all in for 2,150, the MP player folded and James called the additional 50.

James {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}

Small Blind {9-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}

James' pocket rockets held up on the {Q-Spades} {8-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} board and he's now up to 11,500.

Mimi Tran Eliminated

Mimi Tran got the last of her chips in against a lone opponent. It was a race situation with Tran holding {5-?} {5-?} against the {A-Spades} {10-Hearts} of her opponent. The board ran out {A-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {4-Hearts} giving Tran a wheel, but her opponent a flush.

David's Double-Double

David Williams just doubled up the same opponent twice in a row.

On the first hand, they got it all in preflop, Williams holding {Q-Hearts} {10-Clubs} and his opponent {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}. Both an ace and a king hit the flop and Williams couldn't fill his gutshot straight draw.

On the next deal, Williams opened for 600 from UTG and the same opponent called from the big blind. The flop was {8-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn was the {4-Hearts}. The big blind checked, Williams bet 1,500, the big blind moved all in and Williams called. This time, Williams' pocket kings had been outflopped by his opponent, who held pocket threes for bottom set. The river was the {5-Spades} and Williams' stack was slashed in half.
