Mike Carson Takes a Huge Hit

Mike Carson led out on a flop of {K-Spades} {10-Spades} {5-Hearts}, Kevin Oleary moved all in and Carson made the call, having him covered. Though Carson held {A-Spades} {K-Clubs} for top pair, Oleary had him crushed with {10-Clubs} {10-Hearts} for middle set. The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, the river was the {4-Diamonds} and Oleary doubled up to 713,000 while Carson was left with 135,000.

William Haughey Eliminated in 27th Place ($17,450)

Giovanni Nervo raised to 40,000 from late position. William Haughey moved all in for roughly 100,000 from the big blind and Nervo called. The players showed:

Jason Yates moved all in preflop with {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} and Michael Polcari looked him up with {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}. Polcari hit top pair on the {K-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} flop and Yates couldn't pull out a miracle on the {6-Clubs} turn or the {3-Clubs} river. Yates hit the rail while Polcari is up to 400,000.

Chris Hunichen Eliminated

Chris Hunichen, Lawrence Martone, and Thom Werthmann got involved in a pot that resulted in the elimination of Hunichen.

Werthmann was all in for the main pot while Hunichen and Martone had action on the side. The players showed:

Hunichen: {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs}
Werthmann: {K-Clubs} {10-Hearts}
Martone: {A-Hearts} {K-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {3-Clubs} giving Werthmann a Broadway straight, Martone top pair top kicker, and Hunichen the losing pair of sevens.

Hunichen was eliminated and Werthmann tripled up to approximately 170,000 when he took down the main pot. There was a substantial side pot that went to Martone and he now sits on about 570,000 chips.
