Lucky Like de Wolfe

Roland de Wolfe is facing an all-in and calls with {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} versus his opponent's {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. The board is {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{J-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and the rivered queen puts de Wolfe up to 21,200. "Easy game, no?" says de Wolfe.

"Is this going to be on the PokerNews update?" says Greg Raymer.

Esfandiari Survives

Antonio Esfandiari, down below 2,000, just survived a battle of the blinds with Andy Bloch.

The table had folded around to Bloch, who completed from the SB. Esfandiari raised to 500 from the BB, and Bloch responded by pushing all in. Esfandiari called.

The board came out {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Bloch showed {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, but Esfandiari had him out-kicked with {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Bloch's stack remains a healthy 20,650, while Esfandiari is somewhat less so with 2,950.

Hellmuth Over Greenstein

We picked up the action on the flop. On a flop of {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Phil Hellmuth led out from early position with a pot-sized bet of 600, and Barry Greenstein called from the hijack. The turn was the {2-Spades}. Hellmuth bet 1,000 and Greenstein called. The river was the {A-Spades}. Both players checked, Hellmuth showed K-Q, and Greenstein mucked.

Hellmuth has built up to 16,000, while Greenstein is down to 4,000.

Alex Melnikow Busts

On a flop of {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Alex Melnikow is all in with A-K. His opponent calls with J-J. The turn and river doesn't help Melnikow and he is close to out.

On the next hand, he moves all in for 5,100 and David Williams calls with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. Melnikow has K-K and Williams spikes an ace on the flop. Melnikow is out. David Williams is up to 23,400.
