Raymond Davis Crippled, Erick Lindgren Takes Commanding Chip Lead

Omaha-8:

Erick Lindgren led at Raymond Davis the whole way and was called down, the final board reading {Q-?} {8-?} {5-?} {8-?} {5-?}. Davis showed {A-?} {2-?} {4-?} {Q-?} for two pair, but Lindgren had caught trip fives on the river, holding {A-?} {5-?}-X-X in the hole. The hand took Lindgren up to 3,375,000 while Davis fell to 375,000.

On a subsequent hand, Davis opened for a raise from the cutoff, Michael DeMichele three-bet from the button and Davis called. The flop was {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} {9-Diamonds}. Davis checked, DeMichele bet and Davis called. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was the {10-Hearts} and Davis check-called another bet from DeMichele.

DeMichele showed {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {2-Spades} for a Broadway straight and Davis mucked. DeMichele is now up to 1,420,000 while Davis is on fumes with 175,000.
