Phil Hellmuth In'n'Out

Phil Hellmuth, in classic Phil Hellmuth form, arrived two hours late to the tournament. He then proceeded to play one hand, flopped a pair and a flush draw, missed and stormed out, saying, "How the hell am I gonna hit a hand?!"

De Wolfe Cruising

Roland de Wolfe
Roland de Wolfe
Roland de Wolfe has been cruising and busting people along the way.

In the first hand, an under-the-gun raiser made it 300. De Wolfe reraised to 1,100 and the under-the-gun player shoved all in. De Wolfe called with {A-?} {Q-?} and was up against his opponent's {A-?} {8-?}, having him dominated.

The board ran out {Q-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {6-Spades} {8-Hearts} and de Wolfe eliminated his opponent.

On the second hand, de Wolfe held {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} in the big blind versus the {K-Clubs} {9-Clubs} of the small blind. All the money went in on the flop or {K-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. The turn came the {2-Hearts} and the river the {J-Clubs}. Roland got another elimination that put him at 35,000.

Soulier and Lieu Eliminated Before Break

Fabrice Soulier raised all in on the turn for 6,000 after his opponent bet 1,000. The board was {K-Hearts} {6-Spades} {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts}. His opponent called. Soulier showed {6-Clubs} {5-Spades} for two pair and his opponent called with {J-Hearts} {J-Spades}. The river was another king and gave Soulier's opponent a better two pair, which busted Soulier from the tournament.

Liz Lieu and an opponent went to the turn on a board that read {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Lieu checked. Her opponent bet 2,500 and Lieu moved all in for 9,000. Her opponent made the call and showed {3-Diamonds} {3-Spades}. Lieu held {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. The river was the {J-Diamonds} and Lieu has been sent home.

James Losing Ground

A player raised to 400 and Kenna James made the call from the big blind. The flop came {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {8-Hearts}. After James checked, the player bet into James, a value of 700. James made the call.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and James led for 1,500. The player made the call.

The river came the {A-Diamonds} and James checked. His opponent bet 5,000 and James thought before he mucked.

This is the latest hand from James' table as he's lost a few hands now and is back to his original starting-stack size of 10,000.

Internet Woes

We apologize for the lack of early/often updates, but we've been having some trouble with our Internet connection here in the Amazon Room.

We should be up and operational again shortly.

Jordan Morgan = Busto

Jordan 'iMsoLucky0' Morgan was not so lucky in a recent hand that resulted in his elimination from the tournament.

The UTG+1 player raised to 300 before the flop and both the cutoff and Morgan (big blind) called.

The flop came {8-Spades} {6-Hearts} {K-Clubs} and Morgan passed the first option to the original raiser, who led out with a 300 bet. The cutoff called, and when the action returned to Morgan, he check-raised to 1,050, leaving himself just 425 behind. The UTG+1 player folded and the cutoff called Morgan's check-raise.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and Morgan open-shoved all in for his last 425. The cutoff player made the call:

Morgan: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}
Cutoff: {A-Hearts} {8-Hearts}

Ahead through the turn, Morgan needed to dodge an ace or an eight on the river to double up and stay alive, but dodge he couldn't, as the {A-Diamonds} popped off on the river, putting an early end to Morgan's day.

The Phil Laak Comedy Show

Phil Laak has really been amusing his table. The flop was {10-Spades} {4-Hearts} {2-Clubs} and he showed {A-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} after his opponent bet. Laak then commented, "I haven't folded yet! Well, I fold now that he's seen it."

A few hands later, Laak struck up this conversation.

"In his book, Gus [Hansen] says how he folded deuce-seven. Nine hands later [Gus] says 'I folded deuce-seven nine hands ago and was getting 4.6-1,' and that he was unhappy." The whole table laughed.
