Nam Le Doubles Up

Nam Le moved all in preflop and was called by the big blind. Le turned over {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} while his opponent showed pocket nines. It looked as if Le would be headed to the rail, but the {J-Spades} on the river helped bump Le up to 24,000.

J.J. Liu Has Been Eliminated

The player under the gun raised to 2,200 and J.J. Liu moved in for her last 12,000. Once everyone else got out of the way the original raiser called and showed {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} while Liu tabled {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts} . The flop came {J-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {8-Hearts} and the {10-Diamonds} gave her opponent a gutshot straight draw, but it was the {K-Hearts} on the river that did Liu in and ended her tournament.

Greg Raymer, Not Running Good

In short order Greg Raymer took two big, brutal hits to his stack. In a three way pot the board read {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {2-Spades}. Raymer had top-two pair, another player had bottom-two, and a third had flopped a set of deuces.

Losing that pot dropped Raymer down to 64,000 and not long after he was dealt pocket Jacks and lost to a player holding pocket sixes who flopped a set. That dropped Raymer's stack to 44,000.

Thank You Dominic!

Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck has had a rough day when it comes to poker. Drawing rough opponents and frustrating hole cards, Maridu has been doing her best to dish it out with what she's been dealt.

Moving all-in preflop from the cutoff, the big blind asked the dealer for an exact count of her push. After quickly counting out 23,000, the big blind player contemplated, then eventually tossed his hand into the muck. As the dealer scooped the pot Maridu's way, Maridu flashed a big smile, tossed her hole cards toward the dealer and said, "thank you, Dominic!" - the dealer's name.

After the hand Maridu is up to 25,000 and counting.

Raymer Builds Back

We came into the hand on the river, but on a board of {K-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {J-Hearts}, Greg Raymer led out on the river and found himself raised by a single opponent. Raymer, after thinking about it for awhile, moved all-in. His opponent went into the tank before ultimately folding, leaving Raymer with 87,000 in chips.

Bill Edler Has Been Eliminated

Before the flop Bill Edler led out, Alex Kostritsyn reraised, Edler three-bet, and Kostritsyn bet enough to set Edler all in. "I'm stuck," Edler said and made the call with {K-Spades} {J-Spades} and when he saw Kostritsyn's {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} he said, 'I've got an overcard".

One he didn't hit as the board ran out {8-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {9-Spades} {A-Hearts} {5-Clubs}, and Edler was eliminated.

Phil Ivey Up, then Down

Phil Ivey seems to be in his comfort zone, munching on Doritos and snatching pots away from the likes of Lee Watkinson with big raises. But he just took a hit when, while holding Q-J, the flop came Jack-high and his opponent held pocket Aces. Ivey was up as high as 101,000 but with that hit he's slipped to 80,000.
