Michael Binger Doubles Up through Alan Jaffray

In the small blind Michael Binger moved in for his last 85,000 and Alan Jaffray made the call. His {A-Hearts}

led Binger's {10-Diamonds}

and stayed in the lead after the {Q-Hearts}

flop. But Binger hit the {10-Clubs}

on the turn, the {7-Spades}

on the river missed Jaffray, and Binger doubled to 200,000.

Randy Haddox Doubles Through Michael Banducci

And it was a close-run thing at that. Haddox raised to 33,000 and Banducci reraised to 130,000. Haddox moved in for his last 240,000 and Banducci called. Banducci's pocket sixes held up against Haddox's A-K until he spiked the {A-Diamonds}

to stay alive. He now has 540,000.

Michael Banducci raised to 21,000 and Lyric Duveyoung called. Phi Nguyen then raised to 91,000, prompting Banducci to move all in. Duveyoung got out of the way and Nguyen pondered what to do. He got out a coin, flipped it, and when he saw how it landed he decided to muck.

Standing on the rail was Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy, who shouted, "Show the Jack-Nine!" Banducci instead tossed his hand into the muck.

Play Has Tightend Up

The tournament has slowed to a bit of a crawl here as we only have two players left before the final table is reached. In these situations players tend to play tighter and since we are only awaiting two eliminations, big hands are few and far between. We'll continue to update on the big developments once they happen. For now, players are doing a lot of blind stealing and walking.

Michael Banducci Eliminates Adam Levy

The two players traded raises until Levy was all in, and his {A-Diamonds}

dominated Banducci's {K-Diamonds}

. The

flop seemed innocuous but the {4-Hearts}

gave Banducci a flush draw and the {7-Hearts}

hit on the turn to give Banducci the flush and the pot. He now sits with 740,000 while Adam "Roothlus" Levy is our 12th place finisher.

Lyric Duveyoung Eliminates Alan Sass

From the cutoff Lyric Duveyoung raised to 25,000 and Alan Sass reraised to 75,000. Duveyoung pushed all in and Sass called for his last 240,000. His {K-Clubs}

was way ahead of Duveyoung's {7-Diamonds}

, but Lyric hit his set on the {A-Diamonds}

flop and eliminated Sass while building his stack to upwards of 700,000.

We currently only have thirteen players left in the field today with play continuing until we reach the final table of nine. Play has been very typical of a tournament in its final stages, with many players moving all in and picking up blinds and others simply trying to hang on.
