Kenna Looking For Advice

In a recent conversation between Kenna James and Jimmy Fricke, Kenna asked Jimmy, "Hey Jimmy, you know what would make a great story?"

"What?" replied Fricke.

"Teaching an old guy the new tricks of poker," said James.

Fricke then said, "It's easy Kenna, just don't fold. Especially in this game."

"I tried that. That's why I'm so short."

"KJ Sucks Out To Stay Alive"

Kenna James leaned back in his chair and asked our reporter for his pad and the pen. He started writing on the pad and here's what it said:

"KJ UP TO 10,500, SET OF 7s"

"77 vs TT"

"KJ SUCKS OUT TO STAY ALIVE"

He instructed us to put this right on here just like that. Apparently, James doubled back up to 10,500 after hitting a set of sevens against Stefa Rapp's pocket tens. We asked James who it was and he pointed two seats down to Rapp.

When asked if it was him, Rapp replied, "Yeah, just write it was the Austrian fish."

Rivkin Picks Up Some Chips

Preflop, Brandon Wong raised from late position and Eric Rivkin reraised. Wong made the call.

On a flop of {9-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {2-Spades}, Wong bet out and Rivkin made the call. The same action occurred on the turn of the {3-Clubs} and the river of the {9-Hearts}.

At showdown, Rivkin showed {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} for nines up, and Wong showed {8-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} for nines up as well. Unfortunately for Wong, Rivkin's ace outkicked Wong's king.

After the hand, Rivkin moved up to 42,000 in chips. Wong was down to 36,000.

Andrew Prock raised from middle position and Jelger Wiegersma called out of the small blind. The flop came {J-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}. Wiegersma bet and Prock called. The turn was the {7-Spades} and Wiegersma bet again. Prock called.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and both players checked. Wiegersma turned up {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} and Prock rolled over {A-Hearts} {6-Hearts}. Prock's pair of sixes on the river win him the pot and put him up to 47,000.
