Enter Hellmuth

A rather shocked Phil Hellmuth is now wandering around the remaining three tables of the $10K mixed event, telling anyone who will listen the bad beat story about how he just got knocked out of the $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em event.

"So sick," "obviously he sucked out" and "so unlucky" was all we were able to hear and my guess is... that's enough.

David Chiu Doubles Through Doyle Brunson

Pot-Limit Omaha:

On a flop of {7-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {3-Spades}, David Chiu bet 42,000, Doyle Brunson re-potted, Chiu moved all in for an additional 70,000 and Brunson called.

Chiu {9-Hearts} {8-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}
Brunson {7-Clubs} {5-Spades} {4-Spades} {3-Diamonds}

Brunson flopped a seven-high straight, but Chiu turned a nine-high straight when the {5-Clubs} came on the turn. The river was the {Q-Spades} and Chiu doubled up to 170,000 right before play stopped for the night.

State of Play...

Day 2 chip leader Huck Seed
Day 2 chip leader Huck Seed
It's much better if you watch the 6-part BBC series than the film, but that's by the by.

Here our remaining 20 players are all bagging their chips and will be returning tomorrow at 1pm to play down to a finish.

Huck Seed is the chip leader coming back tomorrow but there's many big players still in this event and it's certainly a tournament that any player could still win with a bit of luck.

We'll see you tomorrow!
