Gobbo Gone

2-7 Triple Draw:

One hand after Miami John Cernuto dragged that massive multi-way triple draw pot, he hooked up in another hand with Jimmy Fricke. Fricke was all in on the third draw but could not improve against Cernuto's 7-6-5-4-2.

Cernuto is now up to 160,000.

Doyle Scoops

Omaha-8:

Doyle Brunson was all in on the turn against Scott Dorin with the board reading {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {4-Hearts}.

Brunson {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}
Dorin {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {3-Clubs}

The river fell the {3-Hearts}, making Brunson a 6-4 low to go with his trip aces and he scooped the pot, taking his stack up to 120,000.

"From the Outhouse to the Penthouse"

Yeah, I've still got it
Yeah, I've still got it
Omaha-8:

Right before the last break, Doyle Brunson was on fumes with only 40,000 in chips. Now, after this latest hand of Omaha 8 or better, he's near the top of the leaderboard.

Eric Froehlich raised from early position, Mikael Thuritz called, and Brunson called from the big blind. The flop was {10-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}. Brunson led out and both Froehlich and Thuritz called. The turn was the {J-Clubs}. Brunson led again and got two more calls. The river fell the {10-Clubs}. Brunson bet and again, both Froehlich and Thuritz called.

Brunson showed {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} for the straight and both opponents mucked. With no possible low hand on board, Brunson scooped the pot, taking his stack up to 205,000.

"From the outhouse to the penthouse, boys" he said as he stacked up his chips.

Lindgren More Concerned With Other Matters

Stud:

David Chiu fired all streets with a {Q-?} {2-Clubs} {2-Spades} {7-?} board and get paid all the way before showing queens up. Erick Lindgren though seems more concerned about someone else in the $2,000 event taking place behind the table.

"...He's just folded queens preflop to a crazy guy in a Hawaiian shirt. The guy showed him nines. He's wearing a Hawaiian shirt for God's sake!"

Hanson Almost Mmmmm-Bopped...

PLO:

John Hanson must have lost a big chunk of chips over the last few hands, he was all in on a {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {4-Spades} board with {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {7-Hearts} against Marc Karam's {K-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}. Karam needed an eight or running cards to make a straight or flush to win.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} meaning both now had kings and sevens and the river was the {5-Diamonds} and they chopped the pot.
