Altinbas Cracks Ahmadi's Aces

Oktay Altinbas open-shoved all in for 115,000 from the cutoff, and Bahador Ahmadi called from the big blind. Ahmadi had woken up with {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}, while Altinbas was in tough shape with {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

The flop came {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}, and Altinbas was still alive. And the turn brought the {10-Clubs}, giving him the straight. The river was a meaningless {5-Diamonds}, and Altinbas doubles to 250,000. Ahmadi now has 645,000.

Small Double Up for Ivey

In his second hand back, Phil Ivey was in the big blind. The table folded around to Angel Guillen in the small blind, who decided to play. With almost no chips left after posting the BB and ante, Ivey was looking to double up or go home.

Guillen had {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and Ivey {K-Spades}{2-Clubs}. The board came {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, and Ivey survives. He now has about 50,000.
