Phil Ivey Doubles to 290,000

Making a Run At Another Bracelet
Making a Run At Another Bracelet
Action folded around to the button who raised to 20,000. Ivey didn't belive his button raise and three bet from the small blind to 60,000. The button then moved Ivey all in. Ivey made the call with {A-Spades} {9-Diamonds} running into the pocket kings of his opponent.

The flop came {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} giving Ivey a glimmer of hope, but things looked pretty dim when the {Q-Spades} blanked on the turn.

However, the {A-Hearts} on the river gave Ivey two pair and the pot. He doubles up to 290,000, moving up into the top few spots on the leaderboard.
