Quads Are Good

Ludovic Lacay is another to have doubled up when his {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} held against an opponent's {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Not only did it hold, but Lacay made quads when the board ran out {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}! He's now up to 95,000 chips.

Ciao Chau

Chau Giang Eliminated
Chau Giang Eliminated
Chau Giang was short-stacked and all in preflop with his {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} against an opponent's {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, but the board of {8-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs} gave his opponent trips and the pot to send Giang to the rail.

Seidel Suffers a Suckout

Erik Seidel raised to 5,500 from the cutoff and Ben Alcober re-raised all in for 30,100.

Seidel looked at the chips and said "I may have to call." He almost thought better of it when he heard the total. "Wow, that's a lot," he said before making the call.

Seidel: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Alcober: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

When the flop came {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts}, Seidel was wishing he'd held on to his chips. The {4-Hearts} and {7-Diamonds} didn't improve his hand, and his stack shrunk to 99,900.

Desveaux Rockets Past Snead

Scott Desveaux wanted to get a mention in our blog to say hi to his mom and dad back home...now he gets a mention for taking down a huge pot and eliminating Paul Snead in the process.

After Gavin Griffith had opened with a raise from under the gun, it was the sneaky preflop flat call by Scott Desveaux in middle position that lured Snead into the trap. Play folded to Snead in the cutoff who moved all in for 32,700, and as Griffin folded Desveaux snap-called with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} to have Snead in bad shape with his {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{J-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and after a count down of chip Desveaux just had his opponent covered to send Snead to the rail and jump himself up to 75,000.

Thomas Keller Eliminates Rob Hollink

Rob Hollink raised to 5,000 from middle position and Thomas Keller re-raised to 18,000. Action folded back to Hollink who shoved, and Keller called.

Hollink: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Keller: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The flop of {9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} gave Keller the full house and Hollink was drawing to just two outs, which didn't come when the board finished {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Keller now has 95,000.
