Tom Koral Quartered on the River

Daniel Alaei raised from the button and Greg Jamison and Tom Koral called from the binds to see a {Q-Diamonds}

flop. Jamison led out before Koral raised and Alaei folded. Jamison then tree-bet it and Koral called. The turn saw {2-Clubs}

betting and raising until both players were all in.

to snatch the high away from Koral and he's quartered.

Annie, Get Your Double Ups

Annie Duke opened with an under-the-gun raise, and Jacobo Fernandez made the call in the next seat over. Cameron McKinley came along from the big blind as well, and it was three-handed to the flop.

It showed up {9-Diamonds}

. When McKinley checked, Duke fired out. Fernandez called, and the big blind ducked out.

Fourth street came the {4-Hearts}

. Duke put out another bullet, and Fernandez came along once more.

In the dark, Annie Duke bet her last 16,000, and Fernandez cut the chips out of his stack near the betting line. The last card was the {3-Clubs}

. Duke opened up her hand, revealing that her {A-Diamonds}

had made the wheel. The table looked a bit confused, as Fernandez's calling action was unclear. Still, he tabled {A-Clubs}

, which was not good enough to take any of the pot. The floor was called over, and (with some translating help from the rail) Fernandez was told to put in the extra 16,000. He did so willingly, being knocked down to about 80,000. Annie Duke is back in the game after that big double up, her second in just a few hands. She's up to 340,000 now.

Chip leader John Monnette raised from the button and Scott Clements called from the BB before a {10-Spades}

flop came down. Clements check-raised Monnette's bet, which he called to see a {K-Clubs}

turn. Clements led out this time, Monnette three-bet, Clements four-bet him back. Call. The river {7-Spades}

saw Clements lead out again and Monnette called to cap this huge pot.

Clements proudly turned over {10-Clubs}

for quads, the pot and the chip lead.

Monnette -- 900,000

Between the last two hands, a woman called out from the rail, about 50 feet from the tables.

"Annie! Annie! You're better than Joan Rivers!"

Annie shot a smile over to the rail, offering a quiet, "Thank you." After a little pause, she turned back and added, "At this game, yeah."
