Ivey Doing Work

Phil Ivey is up to 58,000 after taking down a nice multi-way pot. Ivey held {A-Spades} {4-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}, and the board ended up reading {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}. Ivey had re-raised preflop, then bet each street. He had two callers until fourth street, with just one player calling him down in the end. Ivey scooped the pot with his diamond flush, moving himself up the board a bit.

The Mouth Taped Up

Mike Matusow has just been given a penalty for saying that Mike Binger is the worst Omaha player in the world. I think it's only a one hand penalty and he's taking it well!

Farha Folds Kravchenko

Sammy Farha raised it up from middle position, and Alex Kravchenko was the lone caller. Heads up then, the flop came out {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {7-Hearts}. Farha bet, and Kravchenko matched the bet. Fourth street was the {6-Spades}, and both players checked. The last card off was the {10-Clubs}. Farha bet again, and Kravchenko quickly folded.

"I should have bet the turn," said Sammy, chuckling as he raked in the pot. "You would have folded then." Farha is up to 51,000.

D'Agostino Moves Up

A player on the button came first into the pot with a raise. In the small blind, John D'Agostino three-bet it, and Scotty Nguyen called from the big blind, as did the original raiser.

The flop came out {A-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}. D'Agostino led out with a bet, and Nguyen put in a raise. The original raiser ducked out, and D'Agostino made the call.

Fourth street brought the {10-Diamonds}. D'Agostino fired again, with Scotty electing to just flat call this time.

The river card was the {10-Spades}. D'Agostino bet again, and Nguyen came back with another raise. D'Agostino made the call, tabling {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {K-Spades} {9-Spades} for tens full of aces. Scotty couldn't show anything better, grimacing and returning his cards to the muck.

With that sizable pot, J-Dags has climbed up to 52,000, while Scotty has slipped down to 26,000.

Slow Start Again

Even Raymer finding the going a bit slow right now.
Even Raymer finding the going a bit slow right now.
Just as play started slowly today, it has done so again after dinner break. Maybe too much stodgy food was consumed, maybe it's the late time for a dinner break. Whatever the reason is we expect the momentum to build......soon.

A Numbers Game

The 179 entrants have generated a total prize pool of $1,682,600. Of those 179, all but eighteen will go home without a check to cash. The bottom level of cash is worth $26,921, and each of the nine final tablists will take home at least $54,179. The top four will all earn six figures, and the lucky man or woman who earns every chip in play on Tuesday night (or Wednesday morning) will walk away with $445,898 -- not to mention their shiny new piece of jewelry.

The full breakdown of the money list can be found in the "Prizepool and Payouts" tab on the right side of this page.
