Nothing But the Blues for Lederer

Howard Lederer, and his stacks of blues
Howard Lederer, and his stacks of blues
We came in on this hand on the turn, with the board showing {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and about 25,000 in the middle. Chris Klodnicki fired out a bet of 15,000 from the big blind, and Howard Lederer considered for a while before counting out four yellow (1000) chips and 22 blue (500) ones to make the call.

The river was the {2-Clubs}. This time Klodnicki bet 14,000. Out of yellows, Lederer went to his stack of blues and pushed out enough to call. "Jacks," said the dealer, as Klodnicki showed {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Lederer mucked.

As we approach the cash bubble, Lederer is down to about 15,000, while Klodnicki climbs to 78,000.
