Enormous Hand Alert
In a blind-on-blind confrontation, we caught up with the action on the turn of the board, when small blind Emmett Hickey (incidentally my Awesome Name Of The Day, and he's wearing a Panama hat to boot) bet out 10,000 with a pretty hefty amount already in the pot. Alain Roy in the big blind moved all in for another 18,000, and Hickey was left with a big decision. He stood up and dwelled for a while, then sat down and continued to dwell until the clock was called -- and Hickey called too.

River: here comes the outdraw bit...

...
Ouch. Roy is bust, and Hickey is up to more than 75,000.

Here's Something You Don't See Very Often
So it was enormously refreshing to hear one of the players approach one of the floormen for no other reason than to praise the dealer at his table, a gentleman named Arron. "He doesn't make a mistake, his motions are crisp..." the gent was saying. The floorman was clearly taken aback as, like I said, that's not usually what players want to talk to floormen about. How very refreshing.
Other Counts of Interest
Karl Mahrenholz: 35,000
David Chicotsky: 27,000
Tom McEvoy: busto
J.C. Tran: also zilch and heading for the door

Maridu Does Something Gross
"I just tripled up in the most grotesque way." Oh yes? "No, I can't tell you, it's too gross."
It wasn't actually all that disgusting, a mere desperate shove from the small blind to a early position raise. Maridu's offsuit was, admittedly, in pretty terrible shape against her opponent's (I believe it may have actually been and two hearts on the flop, but it also may not have been), but a friendly jack on the turn kept her in the game.
"It was horrible, I'm not proud of it," she announced. Then to the gent who'd had the : "Sorry."

It's a No for Yeh
With the gent on the button all in preflop, Yeh checked the flop and called a 9,000 bet from the other gentleman in the hand. They proceeded to the turn and Yeh checked again, but undeterred, his opponent bet 10,000. Yeh reluctantly laid down his hand and the all-in player and the aggressive bettor flipped their hands over.
Mr. All In Preflop:
Mr. Aggressive: a very esoteric
River:
The short stack doubled, Mr. Aggressive won the very chunky side pot, and Yeh is fuming.
