Brodie Doubles Through Miller

Cole Miller raised from middle position (to 8,000), Richard Brodie three-bet from the button (to 12,000). It folded to Miller who four-bet it, and Brodie called.

The flop came {7-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Miller checked, Brodie bet, Miller check-raised, Brodie three-bet with the last of his chips, and Miller called.

Miller showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Brodie {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. The turn was the {6-Clubs}, and Brodie's aces were still good. And the {9-Spades} on the river gave Brodie the pot.

Brodie sneaks back up over 100,000 on that one, while Miller is now down to 85,000.

Billy Argyros Eliminated in 19th Place ($5,995)

Billy "the Croc" Argyros raised from under the gun, and it folded around to Andrew Kerstine who reraised from the small blind. Argyros made the call.

The flop came {6-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Kerstine bet, and Argyros called. The turn was the {2-Clubs}. Kerstine bet again, and Argyros again called with the last of his chips.

Kerstine showed {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, and Argyros {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. The river was the {3-Hearts}, and Argyros is out in 19th. Kerstine is up to 300,000.

Break Time

20 minutes for the 20 players. The plan is to play down to the final nine, or stop at 3 a.m. local time -- whichever comes first.

Jacinto Lopez Eliminated in 21st Place ($5,995)

Demetrios Arvanetes, whose stack presently sits around the 200,000-chip mark, had two short stacks all in before the flop -- Rep Porter for his last 20,000 or so, and Jacinto Lopez for his last 12,000.

Arvanetes {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Porter {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Lopez {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, and Porter's jacks were best. He's up to 76,000, Arvanetes still has that big stack, and Lopez is out in 21st.

Corning Calls the Croc

Billy "the Croc" Argyros
Billy "the Croc" Argyros
Billy "The Croc" Argyros raised from under the gun, Doug Corning reraised from the seat to Argyros' left, and the table folded back around to Argyros who made the call.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and Argyros checked. Corning bet, and the Croc check-raised. Corning called.

The turn was the {K-Diamonds}, and a smiling Argyros quickly counted out the bet. Corning called.

The river was the {8-Clubs}, and Argyros quickly fired out another bet, leaving himself about 20,000. Corning only had about 35,000 himself, and went into the tank.

Argyros, smiling and laughing, told the table, "Give him time! This is a big pot!" Finally Corning called, showing {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. Argyros turned over {A-Clubs}{6-Spades} and congratulated him on the call.

"God, I put a lot of pressure on you," said the still-grinning Croc as the dealer split the pot between the two.
