We have reached the end of another successful day at the Rio with the chips being bagged for Event 28 - $1,500 No Limit Holdem.

Today saw 2,641 poker enthusiasts take to the felt to battle it out, however at the end of the day only few would make it through.

JC Tran, Dennis Phillips, Ylon Schwartz, Hevad Khan, Amarillo Slim and Jason Mercier were just a handful of names that came and went. However, at the end of the day it would be Mats Gavatin leading the charge with 131,800 in chips with Marco Johnson (126,200) and Magne Boe (117,300) hot on his heels.

Thor Hansen (39,000), Liv Boeree (24,200) and
Ivan Demidov (23,300) are still here representing the overseas contingent, while Kelly Kim (55,500) and David Chicotsky (30,100) are holding down the home front.
