The Final Break

The remaining 311 players are on their last break of the night. We'll be back in 20 minutes to finish out the last two levels for the day.

Hellmuth Scoops a Pot

Walking past Phil Hellmuth's table, we caught this hand. The hijack bet all in and got called by the cutoff, Hellmuth on the button, and both blinds.

The action checked to Hellmuth after a flop of {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}and everyone called his bet. When the turn brought the {10-Diamonds}, action again checked around and Hellmuth bet again. The blinds folded and one player went to the river with Hellmuth. After a {9-Hearts} fell on the river, Hellmuth tabled a full house to scoop the pot.

The End of a Sick Table

Even without Daniel Negreanu, table 41 was just loaded with talent. When Daniel left, Jon "PearlJammed" Turner took his spot, alongside Chip Jett, Freddy Deeb, Kristy Gazes, and Eli Elezra.

We would have stayed and watched this group play all night except for one sad fact. The table has broken.

Speaking of which - there are just 342 players left with just 10 minutes until the last break of the evening.

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated

Daniel Negreanu was short stacked, but still having a good time. With just 400 chips, he finished his dinner while telling Gavin Smith he'd have 26,000 chips in an hour. It didn't happen.

Daniel pushed all in and got raised by by Chip Jett. Eli Elezra called Jett's raise and the three saw a flop of {7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Chip bet and Eli called, before folding two pair face up after the {6-Clubs} hit the turn. After the river, Chip showed Aces up for the high and a 6-low to scoop.

Juanda Up to 11K

On a flop of {8-Hearts} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts}, the big blind led into John Juanda. Juanda reraised and the big blind called.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and the big blind led out again. Juanda raised once more and his opponent called again.

The river was the {6-Spades} and action checked to Juanda. He fired a bet and his opponent called. When Juanda's opponent saw two jacks in John's hand, he mucked his cards and let Juanda scoop the pot to move to 11,000 chips.

Negreanu Way Down, but Keeping Good Spirits

Daniel Negreanu just lost a big hand and dropped all the way down to just 400 chips. He's seated at a table with Eli Elezra and the two have been joking after the hand.

"I'm going to catch a big hand in my big blind." commented Daniel as he munched on some food.

"Then why are you eating so fast?" questioned Elezra.

"Cause it is so nice!" responded Daniel.

Madsen Out

Jeff Madsen has busted from Table #22 along with two other players in the past few minutes. "Hollywood" Dave Stann has taken his place.
