Smith Tangles with Lisandro

Gavin Smith and Jeffrey Lisandro got their stacks in the middle on a board of {2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

Smith showed {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a wrap while Lisandro held trip deuces and blockers for Smith's hand with {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}. When the river brought the {7-Clubs}, Lisandro's hand held and his stack increased to 5,500.

Smith, who had used his add ons, still had 5,800.

Sammy Farha Loses His Starting Stack

Sammy Farha got his chips in the middle on a board of {Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs} while holding {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for top two pair.

His opponent called with {3-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and made a better two pair when the {2-Spades} appeared on fourth street. The {4-Diamonds} on the river didn't change a thing, and Farha was left with just his two red chips for his add ons.

Threes Are the Charm for Juanda

John Juanda
John Juanda
After limping in from early position, John Juanda called a raise of 350 from Phillip Yeh in the small blind.

On a flop of {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Juanda then check-raised Yeh's 400 bet to 825. When Yeh reraised all in, Juanda called for his last chip and the hands were shown.

Juanda: {7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Yeh: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{K-Spades}{J-Clubs}

When the board finished with the {2-Clubs} and {10-Diamonds}, Juanda's threes held and built his stack to 4,300. Yeh slipped to 900 with no add-ons left.

C.K. Hua Hurts Devilfish

When a player in middle position raised to 300, C.K. Hua made the call and David Ulliott applied the squeeze, reraising to 1,300. Both players called and we saw a flop of {J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Action checked to Ulliott, who bet 2,350 all in. The original raiser folded and Hua again made the call.

Ulliott: {A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Hua: {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {5-Spades} on the turn kept Ulliott in the lead, but the {8-Hearts} on the river was a killer, giving Hua two pair and the pot. After the hand, Hua was up to 9,000 while Ulliott was down to his last add-on chip.
