Stick a Fork In Matusow, He's Done

Matusow - not here no more
Matusow - not here no more
Just moments after loudly telling everyone that he wasn't done, Mike Matusow found himself well and truly toasted.

A preflop raising war saw him get his last in with {K-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} against another player's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}; it was looking bad from the start, and the failure of the deck to bring him a miracle sent him crashing out.

Board: {8-Hearts} {10-Spades} {2-Spades} {4-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}

Oppenheim Snaps A Chip, Then Himself

David Oppenheim
David Oppenheim
A crazy hand has seen David Oppenheim eliminated after the action was so intense on the flop that Oppenheim somehow managed to physically break one of the 5,000-denomination chips after he slammed his chips into the middle.

The action was capped on the flop and turn before Oppenheim was all in on the river. The board read {3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts} as Oppenheim tabled {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} but his opponent revealed {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair to send Oppenheim crashing to the rail much to the delight of Todd Brunson.

"F*%k you Todd" snapped Oppenheim.

"Let me buy you another double shot before you head home..." laughed Brunson as Oppenheim stormed out of the Rio.

Negreanu Hits the Rail

We're not Kidding, he's bust
We're not Kidding, he's bust
Daniel Negreanu raised in mid position and got called by the gent on the button. Negreanu checked the flop and was so short he called all in to a bet from the button, and off he headed for the exit.

Negreanu: {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}
Mr Button: {A-Spades} {4-Hearts}

Board: {Q-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}

Feldman Felled

Andrew Feldman has also kicked the tournament bucket -- he somehow got his shrapnel in preflop with {9-?} {10-?}, but the pocket jacks that called him were crushing him from the start, and with no miracles on the board, he made his exit.

Oppenheim Has Balls, Must Fight

"I'm not done yet," said Mike Matusow, down to just 10,400,

"Yeah, well I'm done," said David Oppenheim at the next table, sitting on 13,000 including the big blind he'd just posted.

"Fight!" cried Matusow, "FIGHT! Show some heart, David Oppenheim!"

Whether or not Oppenheim has heart is uncertain, but according to Matusow, "You have balls anyway."
